Public Act 258 requires schools to provide eligible students with the opportunity and available methods to preregister or register to vote. This one hour overview will equip educators with the most up to date knowledge on Michigan voting and elections information including how schools must now meet the requirements established in Public Act 258 and outlined further by the Michigan Department of Education, and the Michigan Department of State. We will also advance processes and protocols for civic ready classrooms including thinking through the teaching of Civics after this election cycle.
