The Big Ideas CD was developed to provide teachers with a compact easy to use world geography resource. The Big Ideas CD includes a scaffolding diagram, power point, multiple activities and a map with clickable overlays in each of nine world regions. The PowerPoints focus on developing a single concept with multiple consequences in the region (elevation in South America, for example). The workshop will review the CD have teachers participate in a model lesson. The Big Ideas CD will be an especially useful resource for developing sixth grade world geography courses.
